J-link lite broke by update! Rollback?

Hi all,

These steps broke my j-link lite! Is there a way to un-break it? Suggestions welcome.

I updated the segger pc software for another non nRF51 project (using a real segger). I opened an nRF51 project and the new sw told me to update the j-link lite firmware; I did. I proceeded to connect to the lite after a successful firmware update. It flashes its LED red intermittently and will not connect.

5 minutes before the update I was using it with no problems so it is definitely segger's update that killed it. I can't find a way to undo this! The device is recognised by all the software but it flashes the strange intermittent red led and refuses to connect the target. Even seggers updated software won't recognise it. I've tried reinstalling everything (its already taken up 5 hours of my time so far). I just don't get what could have happened? I can update the firmware still without errors in the segger software - Is there a way to put the original firmware back on it?

I've lost all hope now... and all confidence in Segger. Unfortunately, the other J-link was for someone else so I can't even continue my own project now!

Can you think of anything I could do to fix this? Thanks
