SPI master speed of nRF51822

Hello Nordic expert, In nRF51822_PS_v1_3, the max bit rates for SPI master is 8Mbps(section 8.8, page43). But in nRF51822_PS_v2.0, the max bit rates for SPI master change to 4Mbps(section 8.9, page47) May I know why?

And I still can find 8Mbps option in nRF51 SDK SPI driver. Does it mean we still can configure SPI frequency as 8Mbps?

There are is a combination of different aspects that led to the decrease from 8Mbps to 4Mbps.

The 8Mbps is an error, and should be corrected, thank you for making us aware.

Configuring the SPI to 8Mbps will be out of spec, so we can't guarantee the correct behavior.
