current too high

Hi everyone

I'm using the nrf51822 connect with  stm32f103 through UART,it's current is >1.9mA,is it normal?

I have full reset to disable the debug interface,it can reduce about 0.2mA,when advertising it's current >2.5mA(interval 25ms),it seems too high.Another question is should I need to stop advertising after connected to save power or it can stop automatically. Anybody have any idea?

When you are connected, advertising is stopped automatically.

Advertising with 25 ms interval is expected to consume about ~1 mA. If you have the UART peripheral enabled, you will however always see high current consumption, since the 16 MHz clock will always be running. You should therefore make sure to disable the UART interface whenever you don't need it.
