Cannot connect to nRF51822 using bluez on raspberry pi

Hi,

I am using bluez 5.12 and am having difficulty connecting to an nRF51822 EK running the Health Thermometer application and Soft Device S110v6.

I am able to see the nRF51822 EK advertising by running sudo hcitool lescan from linux but I am unable to connect using gatttool.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

As I am new to the nordic development environment, please let me know if further information is needed.

So it turns out that to be able to connect to the nRF51822 using gatttool, one needs to include the random option as shown below

sudo gatttool -b --interactive -t random --listen

Using this command allowed me to connect within gatttool by using the "connect" command.

Now I just need to figure out which handle to read to get the temperature measurement from UUID 2A1C.
