I can't find what this mode means in the documentation. Can someone help me out or point me in the right direction?
It means exactly that, BR/EDR, ie classic bluetooth, is not supported.
It's defined in various places in the bluetooth spec (in the LMP feature flags) and in the Supplement to The Bluetooth Core Specification Part A, Section 1.3.2.
