Is it possible to run the nRF51822 from a 5v supply directly?

Hi, the nRF51822 specifies a max voltage limit of 3.6v. Would the device actually operate from a 5v supply albeit with a shortened lifespan?

This is unfortunately not directly possible, as the nRF51822s absolute maximum VDD value is 3.6 V, as given in table 13 in the nRF51822 PS. Permanent, immediate damage may occur if you exceed this.
