[nRF51822] Shall external16MHz crystal oscillator be added in BTLE application?

Hi sir According to nRF51822 RM v2.1 session 12, there are two high frequency clock: the 16/32 MHz crystal oscillator and the 16 MHz RC oscillator. For nRF51822 BTLE application, it means of course the software device was used. Can BTLE work only with internal 16MHz RC oscillator? Thanks.

Hi, Bluetooth low energy applications require a frequency tolerance of +-40 ppm (or 0.004%), see Product specification V 2.0 pag 33.

Internal RC oscillator has a frequency tolerance typ 1% (=10000 ppm) , max 5%. (page 35)

Can BTLE work only with internal 16MHz RC oscillator? NO.
