how much current consumption nRF52 in sleep mode and RTC on?
According to the nRF52832 Product Specification, the chip will have the following current consumption:
System ON, no RAM retention + RTC + LFRC = 1.2uA + 0.1uA + 0.6uA = 1.9uA
If need RAM to be retained in System On mode you have to add an additional 20nA per 4kB RAM block that is used.
If this answered your question I would appreciate if you could accept the answer and mark it as correct.
Hi,
I Have just seen this post.I am using NRf52 in system ON sleep mode(__WFE();__SEV();__WFE();) and RTC using BMD300 Rigado evaluation kit. Here i am getting current consumption of 12.9uA. Can you suggest me why this large current consumption?
The BMD300 doesn't have a 32khz crystal LFRC oscillator, but uses an RC oscillator which uses more power. and is less accurate. If you have added your own crystal oscillator, is it a low power design?
The LF crystal oscillator uses less current than the RC. You can see the run current for the LFXO and LFRC on this Infocenter page.
