File name too long

Hello: When I try to open an example project from nordik, keil doesn't open some files and I get the following error: "no source": Error: #5: cannot open source input file "............\components\serialization\connectivity\codecs\s130\serializers\ble_gatts_evt_rw_authorize_request.c": No such file or directory

If I change the name of the file, and its name is below 25 characters, it can open it. What can I do?

I looking for a better solution that change the name of all files that I can't open :D

what is the complete path where you installed the SDK? have you considered moving the SDK to make the path shorter?

Hello: I have change the name of the main folder that contains SDK and now it works. Thank you!

Hi,

Unfortunately this is an error that stems from very long path names, and the latest version of Windows. We are working on a solution.

In the meantime you can extract the SDK using 7-zip, this solves the issue with long path names because of the way 7-zip deals with path lenghts.

You can use a third party software to bypass long path errors. I’d recommend you to try Long Path Tool. It was very helpful for me.
