rx chain delay larger then tx chain delay

Hi,

in the NRF52832 documentation the TX chain delay is 0.6 µs while the RX chain delay is 9.4µs. Does that mean if transmitting two packets in a row to the same receiver, that the receiver will miss the second packet's preamble because it is idle for too long?

The chain delay is the total delay in the radio peripheral, due to pipelining of the data between RAM and antenna, through steps such as assembling, CRC and whitening. See the block diagram in the radio peripheral documentation. The value for RX increased from nRF51 to nRF52. I do not know the exact workings of this, such as the timings of the radio peripheral events or how much delay you will actually get between transmitting or receiving two consecutive packekts.

Can somebody please address this question? It's kind of important to know whether we must insert a manual delay between two transmitted packets.
