Gazell TX power adjustment

Hello,

We use Gazell for RF application as follow:

  • TX 4dbM
  • RX 250kbps
  • 2m distance
  • 1Hz packet frequency

we observe that RSSI reduce significantly as soon as we add our hand between transmitter and receiver and then seems to auto adjust (RRSI increase).

Is there any power auto adjustment in Gazell, if yes, is it possible to disable it ?

  • Hi, human body will effectively block all 2.4GHz transmission, so the link budget will depend fully on reflections in such case. There is no auto power adjustment in Gazell, but the RSSI will depend on reflections, antenna design and orientation, and possible multi-path fading. All in all, even small movement on the human hand can have a big effect on the RSSI.
