What is the lowest transmit range I can achieve with nrf51822

I am trying to find out the lowest range of nrf51822 but so far I coulden't find anything. Most of the time people are trying to increase the range.Thanks.

There is no lower limit on range, if something can transmit over a given distance it can transmit over a smaller distance all the way down to having the receiver basically touching the transmitter.

The thing which limits range is the signal level at the receiver. Google "Link Budget".

Usually, the aim is to maximise it to achieve maximum range.

Do you have control of both the receiving and the transmitting end?
