Nordic BLE Sniffer Corrupted

It seems after my last round of Window 8.1 updates the Nordic Sniffer no longer functions properly. When I run the Sniffer software, it only can scan for about 1 second before timing out. If I press 'l' to re-scan it cannot perform the operation. If I click 'w' to connect to Wireshark, the Nordic Sniffer software cannot seem to transfer over to Wireshark. No advertisement appear on Wireshark. I've tried several fresh installs of several different versions of Wireshark, but to no luck. I'm worry it is a compatibility issue with the Nordic Sniffer software. Is this a known issue?

p.s. I've also tested on several PCA10000 dongles and re-flashed to be certain.

You can check the log file at C:\Users[my_user_name]\AppData\Roaming\Nordic Semiconductor\Sniffer\logs\log.txt to see if you can find some information there about what is happening.

Edit: You could also try using a newer board (PCA10028 or PCA10031)

What is the jlink software version that you are using ? Do not upgrade or downgrade, first let us know what is being used. See the jlink manual for the version details www.segger.com/.../UM08001_JLink.pdf

In the logs I only see UART read timeout (2 seconds).

For J-Link Version I'm using V512C R0

• nRF Sniffer Version: Yes the latest and only one on the Nordic site.

As mentioned all this was working fine until the latest round of Windows 8.1 updates.
