Blend Micro with nrf8001 certification

Hi there!

I don't know much about FCC, UL, CE certification and want to learn. I am using the blend micro module which uses nrf8001 chip in my project. How do I get my prototype certified?

I looked around and found this - redbearlab.zendesk.com/.../106779933-Blend-Micro-safety-certifications

Does it mean, we can sell such boards without any sort of certification?

I would first recommend you to check with redbearlab and ask if Blend Mirco already has been FCC, ETSI, etc certified. And if it is certified, also ask if you can use those certifications with your product.

If it has not been certified, the board has to be certified. If you want to avoid doing the FCC, ETSI, etc certification, it could perhaps be an option to look at the 3rd party modules?

Thanks for clearing that up. I will look into 3rd party modules as Redbear hasn't responded to my queries yet
