IAR is not a supported toolchain for the Mesh SDK. The only supported options are Segger Embedded Studio or CMake with the arm-none-eabi-gcc or the armcc v5 toolchain (Keil). See the Getting started chapter in the nRF5 SDK for Mesh v2.0.1 documentation for details.

So there is no chance to build a mesh application with the Mesh SDK and IAR?

Will the IAR tollchain  be supported in the future?

We have not done any work on supporting IAR for the Mesh SDK. I am sure it can be done, but I do not know how much work it will be. We do not have any plans for adding IAR support to the Mesh SDK at this point. As far as I know the only reason IAR is not supported is that it has not been prioritized as supporting more toolchains requires more development and testing resources.

Is there any particular reason you don not want to use for example Segger Embedded Studio? It is free to use for all development where the target device is a Nordic Semiconductor chip.

Thanks for your answer.

We are using IAR for develpment in our company and don't want to use a new toolchain/IDE for this project.

We are planing to integrate the Bluetooth Mesh into an existing IAR Project.
