The GTT was great! And the Solar panel demo was impressive.
We are very interested in integrating solar panel with nRF52 on our upcoming BLE products.
It would be great if the Nordic team can share its prototype's design for us to take reference. i.e. What's the spec and model of the solar panel used in the demo ?
Any test data on the power consumption and solar panel power output would be very helpful as well.
Best regards,
Sing
We are working on the solar powered beacon example and will probably release it on the Infocenter. You can see the most important aspects of the design from the schematic.
The beacon is designed to operate continuously with brightness down to 400 lux, where it will advertise a packet every second. Then the average power consumption will be approximately 19 µA. It can operate in darker conditions as well, but then it will be powered down for periods.
Awesome. Please notify us when it is released on the Infocenter. Thanks a lot.
The solar powered sensor beacon has just been posted on Infocenter.
How to get the prototype's design? We would love to have our solar panels comes with nRF52 as well. Any test data? Thanks.
Hi,
You can find the documentation here. There you can also download the HW files and there is a link to the GitHub repo for the firmware.
