Invalid type definition: Cannot set properties of null (setting 'name')

There is another issue opened for this exact problem, but I was admonished for replying to it and so in order to avoid further embarrassment and because the actions prescribed in the other ticket have not resolved my problem, have decided to  open a new ticket;

When I open the SDK_Connect_Extension I get the above error message; I have no idea why.  I used the toolchain manager to update both the sdk and the tool chain neither action of which affected the error.  A screenshot of my VSCODE is below:

Is this the case you are referring to?  How to fix the error "Invalid type definition: Cannot set properties of null (setting 'name')"?  

None of the suggested workarounds solved it for you?

Maybe I missed something but the only work areound I saw was the. updating of the. sdk and toolchain; I used the toolcha9n manager to update the sdk and the toolcha9n. It seemed not to effect the problem at all.

I went back and read the old ticket and I did indeed miss something,  I can't really explain why I didn't see the solution, but I tried it and it works; I apologies for wasting eveyrbody's time
