Entering Normal Voltage mode, what will happen if VDDH was not shorted to VDD?

In Normal Voltage mode, VDD power by 3.3V, and VDDH not connected. Since no abnormality has been found in the test, please help reply carefully about the effect of VDDH not being shorted to VDD. Thank you very much.
In Normal Voltage mode, are there some restrictions that VDDH can not be shorted to VDD?

  • Hi Nancy,

We recommend following our reference and connecting VDDH and VDD for normal voltage mode. It probably might work, because the VDDH follows the VDD by one diode drop below, if left open, but it's not recommended and we cannot guarantee proper working.

    Best Regards,

    Priyanka

  • What problems might occur if they are not short-together?

  • As I had mentioned earlier, it might work and will enter normal voltage mode, but but no guarantee is given if there is any other consequences. We cannot predict exactly what problems might occur and it probably works more often than not.
