Hello Team,

We are developing mobile app with the help of nrf Mesh SDK. we are using UUID  to identify the bluetooth device from  both iOS and android platform. As per description UUID is generated from manufacturing data which will be unique for a device. But when i am scanning through my app few devices have duplicate UUID which is breaking my functionality. When i cross verify same thing with NRF connect app which is recommended by Nordic. I have observed same thing, i can see duplicate UUID fro two bluetooth devices. attached is the screenshot for same.

So please suggest, is it hardware issue or software issue and how can we overcome this issue?

Hi,

It looks like you've generated the same UUID by having the same manufacturing data base. If you for instance increment the manufacturing data in between generating the UUID you should receive unique UUIDs
