Current sinc capability on TWI pins

In the datasheet under GPIO electrical specification is stated: I_ol,hdl,twim to be max 50ma. In the footnote it is referred to this as 20ma capability. Could you please clarify whis is correct?

  • Hello,

I heard back from the team today.

The parameter IGPIO,TOTAL is for all pins except the TWI pins on P1.02 and P1.03. Any current on P1.02 and P1.03 is allowed in addition to IGPIO,TOTAL.
Probably drive capability given by the following parameter is what that causes the confusion.
The driver is able to deliver 50 mA in peaks (to quickly discharge the I2C line), but elsewhere it is documented as a 20 mA pin.
    Kind Regards,
