nrf52840 DK HW rev 3.0.1 GPIO Programming PINs

Dear Forum,

We successfully used the nrf52840DK v.2.0.1 as programming tool for a custom board, the wiring was as depicted here:

Now, with new HW revision 3.0.1, some the GPIO PINs used for this setup (VTG and GNDdetect) have disappeared from the list of available GPIO PINs on the DK.

How would one have to setup the hardware-wiring to use nrf52840 DK v.3.0.1 to program a custom board?

I'm optimistic, that it is still possible, because the programming-relevant PINs SWDIO and SWDCLK still are available...

Hi Richard,

In the new revision, the VTG had been renamed to SWD_SEL.

You just need to pull SWD_SEL to VDD, this enables debug/programming out on P20. Also the usual SWD_IO and SWD_CLK connections need to be done along with a direct GND connection between both the boards.
