is it possible to do firmware update through USB?

Hi, Is it possible to update the firmware through usb? i have a nrf51822 evaluation kit, and i also tested the firmware update over ble. Now, i need to update the firmware using usb. What will be the application and the procedure required to do the same. Where can i get the uart-bootloader application, i'm using sdk-4.4.2.

The UART bootloader application is the same as the BLE bootloader, it's just a different target. You can select the target in the dropdown next to the download button in Keil.

As for USB upgrading, I guess that should be doable if you have some external USB-to-UART chip or similar, but this isn't something we've tested in any way.
