I am trying to create a demo hardware having the Pharaoh antenna from Antenova (Datasheet Pharaoh 4G, LTE antenna - Antenova) connected to the NRF9160-DK for both LTE and GPS (the tests will not be done concurrently).
For LTE is easy as the Pharaoh antenna as we only have to connect the Antenova's EVK to the external cellular connector through a pigtail.
For GPS, it is tricky as the Pharaoh is a passive antenna and I see in the schematics the NRF9160-DK only supports an active antenna.
We can remove VCC from the external GPS connector, but I am afraid we need the LNA to properly test the Pharaoh for its GPS performance, which would mean we have to remove the Molex Patch Antenna and solder the Pharaoh somehow.
Would you be able to confirm the best way to do it?
