IAR rad

Hi

I tried to use the IAR tool. After the installation I used the license installation provided. It does not work. 
Still wants the license. 
Is there a solution ?

Could you point me to where you get the license ? 
As far as I know you still need to pay the license to IAR to be able to use the IDE. 

What we provided with 8.55.0 IAR 5-clause Nordic license is the license to use Nordic source code and library, it's not about the IAR IDE it self.

I see this file nRF_MDK_8_40_3_IAR_BSDLicense.msi

I interpret as a license for using the IAR with the Nordic processors.

I lauched after the installation. It does nothing. 
If it is not unlock the use of the RAD for building applications, What is it...

It's the license for using Nordic intellectual in your application. It's not the license to use IAR to build an application. 

You can think of switching to Segger Embedded Studio. We provide the license to use Segger Embedded Studio for free. https://www.segger.com/news/segger-embedded-studio-ide-now-free-for-nordic-sdk-users/

Be aware that nRF5 SDK is marked as legacy product and we don't suggest to use nRF5 SDK for new development. Our current ecosystem is the nRF Connect SDK.
