nRF52840 DK not working after the JLink Config firmware update

Hi,

I'm not sure this is a duplicate, as I have tried most solution on similar reported issue, however none works.

I accidentally updated the JLink OB firmware on my NRF52840 DK kit and since then, I'm unable to program the DK.

Since the update, my board has the follwing firmware: 

Product = J-Link OB-nRF5340-NordicSemi V1.00
HostFW = 2022 Nov 7 16:22
EmuFW = 2022 Nov 7 16:22

It always boot in MSD mode, no matter if the IF BOOT / RESET button is pressed or not when powered. It doesn't allow me to flash it using J-Link OB-SAM3U128-V2-NordiSemi.bin downloaded from the product page.

Every other method I could think of fails.

As a consequence, I cannot flash my board using J-Link, nRF Connect programmer or VS Code (with nRF Connect plugin).

How could I flash back the J-Link OB to get back to the factory setting ?

(I have the J-Link EDU probe, in case there would be a method).

I am very sorry, I have considered the case that the cable could be the problem, but the two I additional one I used must have been damaged also. I found one that worked...

I don't know why a cable would fail at the same time a firmware is updated, or if the new firmware requires better cables, but I don't have the issue anymore.
