9160 about udp ip address and port problem

hi support team,

Today i am testing 9160 udp demo in ncs2.4.0, and suddenly i find that our device ip port is changing as below:

below data is from server. here is the server wireshark: 

1440.server.pcapng

please using filter : udp.port eq 50001

however, when i use modem trace, the internal ip doesn't change, here is the modem trace:

8787.trace-2023-08-09T03-37-40.010Z.pcapng

This is really wired,if i set udp report interval to 60 seconds, this port is not change, however i set interval to 600 seconds, it is dynamic.

my question, how can i bind the device port, making it not changed.

Hello William,

I think that the operator may be using a Carrier-grade NAT.

Probably best to contact them and see if that is the case and ask them if you could get a public IP for the device if needed.

i was guessing if we have any socketoption for this?

one more question: is this feature(ip port changing) the same in LTE-M?

Looks like this is it, there isn't really anything that can be done on the device side about it.

If a static IP is needed, then this is something that has to be taken up with the network operator.
