Softdevice from S110 to S130 over the air

Hi All,

I am wondering if I could upgrade from S110 to S130 over the air. What I see in the S110 and S130 hex file is that the MBR is different. Not many bytes but it is not identical. This raises a question for me. Can I ignore the difference and just update the softdevice without replacing the MBR?

Hi, the functional behavior of both MBRs are the same, so you can safely do DFU from s110 to s130.

Can i just chime in there as well? I noticed that the newest S130 release (2.0-alpha) does include a MBR 1.0.2, so I am wondering: why would you change the MBR, what has changed?

There was a small change earlier mentioned here. Other than that there are just minor changes to comments in mbr.h. Functional behavior is still the same for all versions.
