need help in cherry-pick

Hi,

I've installed ncs v2.4.1 by toolchain manager, I am trying to cherry-pick the https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-nrf/pull/11802/  patch in nrf directory, but getting the following error:

C:\ncs_v2.4.1\v2.4.1\nrf>git cherry-pick 2d5f2cb4718bc9e84c449fecd6f99058f57b3638
fatal: bad object 2d5f2cb4718bc9e84c449fecd6f99058f57b3638

Could you please guide me on how to cherry-pick this patch and specify the directory?

Are you certain that this is the correct hash?

https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-nrf/commit/ea4d4c4fafd07b20ba9c7a1a6bb284cbeeb87c63

 

This looks like the commit you want to cherry pick. 

Could you try this one and see if that works better?

 

PS: you likely want to do a "git fetch" first before cherry-picking.

Yes now it is working, i was using incorrect hash.

Please tell me how to find the hash of git link i.e. https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-nrf/pull/11802/

A new hash will be created at the timestamp of merging the PR.

When it was merged, there's a link to the topmost commit, as it consisted of >1 commit:

 

If you follow this link, you will get the prior commits as well.
