Data whitening advantages

Is there any documentation or comparison about data whitening when in ESB mode (or BLE or any protocol) ?

What are the limitations ? Any overhead to consider ?

What is the best practice ?

Hello,

Simply said data whitening just ensure that you avoid long sequences of 0 and 1. So the data look more random (likely the name white noise = whitening). Does it give any advantage? Not for the short packages you are sending here.
