HIDS keyboard recognized but not character sent

Hi team, by following the guide Bluetooth: Peripheral HIDS keyboard I was able to install the sample on the nRF52840DK and both my iPhone and Mac recognize the board acting as a Keyboard.

I'm able to pair the board and Led2 is turned ON as it should indicating one device is connected.

So far so good, the problem is that nothing happens when Button 1 is pressed (meaning no text is received in the text editor running on the Mac),

I have NFC_OOB_PAIRING already cleared as explained in the guide.

What am I missing?

Any hints will be greatly appreciated.

    1) What version of nRF Connect SDK are you using?

    2) iPhone/Mac model and iOS version? You see the samme issue on both?

    3) Do you have any log output from the DK?

    Have you any update on the problem, I have the same issues with an iPhone on ios16. 

    I am able to use the sample properly with an Android phone but when I try on an iPhone I don't receive any character when pressing Button1.

    Here some logs, to show you that the pairing is ok but the issue comes from the sending of the character.

  • So I wonder, does  Nordic have an intention on fix it? I have been trying to make it work for 6 months (including support from the Local office) and no success yet...

    Yes I still need support, I have made no progress on the issue, I got support from the local office but no solution so far....

  • Dear Nordic support, on Thu last week I received a mail saying "A support engineer has been assigned to your ticket HIDS keyboard recognized but not character sent." and nothing since then...What should I do know?
