nRF Connect for VS Code v2023.9.336 cannot find devices

Hi,

I updated to the latest nRF Connect for VS Code extension version - v2023.9.336 and noticed that "CONNECTED DEVICES" is always empty. Refresh/restart - no help. Devices that used to show there, are now gone (for ex. nRF52840 DK).

Everything shows Ok in the nRF Programmer.

I reverted back to version v2023.7.129 and "CONNECTED DEVICES" started working again.

Is there something special that needs to be configured with the latest version of the extension? Or is this a bug?

Is the current measurement header on the board has jumper? Can you try with a different USB cable?

I am not sure how the USB cable would matter. With exact same setup, just reverting to the previous extension version it works.

But, yes, I tried with different cable, different boards - none worked with extension v2023.9.336.

All of them work Ok with extension v2023.7.129

Is there a way to capture logs from the extension, to see why it cannot find devices?

With this same extension, I can see the connected device on my VS code.

I think it is something wrong with the system if it is not the bug in software. I have asked the developer. I will get back to you soon.

UPD: fixed by installing v2023.7.129, then updated the extension to the latest version. After this VSCode should be launched directly, not through Toolchain Manager.

Looks like I have the same issue with nRF Connect for VS Code v2023.9.336
At the same time, I can see the connected devices using nrfjprog in Command Prompt as well as in Programmer v3.0.9

Yes - with the Programmer I can see the devices, but not with "nRF Connect for VS Code", v2023.9.336

I am glad that you were able to reproduce it.
