How to use an older version of Programmer with nRF Connect for desktop at Windows PC ?

To use an older version of Programmer with nRF Connect for Desktop, what steps should I follow?

I'm trying to use Programmer v1.4.8 with nRF Connect for Desktop v3.6.1. I found Programmer v1.4.8 in another DevZone post, but when I click on the installation icon for nRF Connect for Desktop, it downloads the latest version. How can I use Programmer v1.4.8?

Hi,

It is now possible to install older versions of apps (by clicking the downwards error to the right of the app and selecting ("Install other version"), but that will not work with versions as old as v1.4.8 of the programmer App due to changes in nRF Connect for Desktop itself. 

May I ask why you want to run an old Programmer app version?
