Shutting down nPM1100

I have a device that needs to be shutdown once the voltage drops to 3.0v to protect the battery.

I see the (optional) Battery Monitoring Circuit, which is fine. I understand how that works.

  1. BAT_MON_EN is Active High
  2. BAT_MON is ADC input

However, since there is no EN pin on the nPM1100 I am unsure what to trigger to shut the nPM1100 down? I am guessing SHPACT might be used here, but I don't want to guess, and I am not using SHPHLD and don't have the additional buton that seems to be needed for SHIP MODE to work.

There happens to be an additional external PNP in my design that I am using the MAX16054AZT+T to Soft-Latch the power so I could do something there, but if that weren't there how would one "disable" the nPM1100 and shutdown the circuit.
