If we want to use the nRF52840 DK (3.0.1) as a debugger, how can we do that?

What is the purpose of R69 (866R) at the P20 debug connector in PCA10056 Schematic (nRF52840 DK reference schematic)? 

Is it possible to directly connect pin 13 with the ground of the P20 connector, thereby removing the connection between R69 and pin 13?

We have a user guide on Debug output in the Infocenter which you can follow. The instructions are the same for any version of the nRF52840 DK.

Pin13 / R69 can be used by a plug-in board to detect what kind of DK it is connected to. This is not currently used by any publicly available boards from Nordic.

If GND is wanted you could replace with 0R resistor or short the pads of R69.
