Gazell on nRF5340 ???

I am using the nRF7002-dk board for my project. The main goal is to be able to use Wi-Fi and also a 2.4GHz proprietary protocol for low latency communication between devices. In the case of having two wireless protocols simultaneously I found out that they need to support coexistence. According to this , there is no ESB and Wi-Fi coexistence. (this was actually the solution I was looking for). So, I am looking if it is possible to have Gazell and Wi-Fi coexistence.

At the Gazell examples, such as the Gazell ACK Payload Host, the nRF7002-dk board is not in the supported devices, as it says on the sample.yaml file or in the website. I also tried to build this example but I get errors.

So, is it possible to use Gazell on the nRF5340 processor? and is there any other solution to implement a 2.4Ghz proprietary protocol to coexist with Wi-Fi?

Hello,

The Gazell protocol does not support any coexistence feature unfortunately, I do believe it should be possible to compile the project for the radio core of the nRF5340, though I guess there is no ready made api for the application core to transport data between the cores for Gazell.

Is Gazell coexistence support in the plan for the near future?
The requirement on my project is transmission of a small amount of data using Gazell only at start up.
So, do you think that is possible to switch on and off the Wi-Fi in order to be able to use Gazell when you want to transmit data?  and then switch Gazell off and turn on the Wi-Fi.

Hello,

I think it should be possible to have control over when you are calling wifi_connect() and wifi_disconnect() to ensure you can use Gazell to send and receive data while wifi is not connected.

Do you think that is possible to run Gazell from the app core by enabling CONFIG_NRF_802154_SER_HOST, in order to give radio access to the app core?
