Max PWM Frequency (8-bit)?

Can someone familiar with the nRF51822 timer infrastructure confirm for me what the maximum achievable PWM frequency is, assuming 8-bit resolution? I've been weeding through the nRF51Reference Manual, noting there are several PPI parts to this and I don't have hw to verify my 31.25KHz answer. Thanks in advance.

Hi Alex,

We do not have a dedicated PWM module, so the way we recommend to resolve this is by using a Timer. You can generate a signal of 8 MHz using the timers (running in 16MHz mode). The PWM frequency is then set by the resolution, which is in your case 8 bit.

PWM Frequency = Fbase / 2^8 = 8M/256 = 31.25 kHz.
