nRF9160 development kit not detected

Hi,

I've recently bought a nRF9160 development kit. I tried to get it start by using "Quick Start" in nRFConnect software.

I followed the Nordic standard instructions as plugging the SIM card to the DK board and switching SW10 to nRF91.

After that, I connect the DK to my windows 10 PC via a micro-USB cable, and then turn the DK on.

While power on the nRF9160 EVBOARD, led5 is flashing green very fast and led1 is flashing green.

However, I opened the Quick Start. The terminal keep showing the message:

Searching..........Kit detection is taking longer than expected. Contact support on DevZone if problem persists.

My nRFConnect is v4.2.1

Does anyone has an issue?

Hello, 

Have you ensured that your USB cable is correct? Some USB cables are power only and have no data connection.

Hi,

I just tried my colleague's USB cable, and it works! and the led5 becomes green steady green on. Thank you very much!

However, my colleague does not know where the USB cable come from. Do you know what exactly micro-USB cable is used to connect to the board that I can find it in Amazon? I need to buy one myself.
