Hey DevZone community,

I'm facing an issue in my project, and I hope someone can shed some light on it.

Environment:

NCS SDK - 1.9.1 
Device - nrf9160dk 

When I try to build i am facing the below problem. I was successfully able to build it from last 2 years, suddenly it stoppped buiding from last 4-5 days.

The terminal process terminated with exit code: 3221225477
The terminal will be reused for tasks, press any key to close it.

 
I found similar thread related to same issue here.

I would like to know what was the root cause, why it is suddenly stopped building the appication?
How it will affect to our current environment / configuration?

Hi there,

Which version of nRF Connect for VS Code are you using? Have you tried re-installing it and see if resolves the issue?

Does this happen regardless of which samples that you're trying to build and if you try to build with other nRF Connect SDK versions as well?

Hello Jared,

Thank you for your reply and time.

Recently the nrf Connect for VS code updated auomatically by itself. 




2023.11.3 version giving trouble. This happen regardless of which samples that I' m trying to build.
When i use older version 2023.9.4 it builds successfully. I am not understanding whats wrong with new version of nrf Connect for VS code.


Kindly let me know what causing the build fail in new version of nrf Connect for VS code.

Can you try to reinstall the VS code extension and see if it fix the issue?
