Not able to send an SMS message.

We get the following error messages when attempting to send an SMS message:

sms: Sending AT command failed, err=196909  which is immediately followed by sms: +CMS ERROR: 301

Can you please help us with explaining what's behind this error codes.

We are using a KORE MVNO SIM.  Their service does include SMS messaging, and we are able to successfully send SMS messages to some mobile numbers but not to others.  We are also exploring this issue with KORE technical support.

In other words, sometimes we get the the 301 error code and other times we don't.

We are looking for any clues about the 301 error code that might help us further troubleshoot the problem.

Thanks for clarifying Jack. I'm not familiar with the Kore MVNO SIM but it sounds like they are the best place to start.
