nRF Connect Bluetooth Low Energy- how to see signal strength once connection is established?

I have two nrf52840 dongles, one is flashed with the firmware from the nRF Connect Bluetooth Low Energy app and the other has a ble peripheral example project on it. I am able to connect the central device and when I scan I see my peripheral device in the list of devices as well as it's signal strength in dBm, however once I connect I am no longer able to read that signal strength value, is that stored somewhere?

  • Hi

It seems you can read the RSSI, at least in the Android version of the app, but it is not as obvious as it is for advertising devices.

I sent a screenshot showing how you can get an RSSI reading from a device you are connected to:

Please note that you only get a single reading when clicking "Read remote RSSI".
You will not get continuous readings and a graph like you do for advertisers.

    Best regards
