ESB packet capture analyzer

Hello, in a video by Ai Kevin of Nordicsemi sharing about ESB development, I learned that the ESB can be specially configured to work with Ellisys Bluetooth Explorer for packet capture analysis. He also mentions that Nordic has its own ESB packet capture analyzer, but the video doesn't go into detail about what this tool is that can analyze ESB packets.

So I would like to ask what is this ESB packet analysis tool, thanks!

Hi!

I'm not sure what video you are referring to, and I am not aware of any good ESB sniffers unfortunately.

My colleague Torbjørn did implement a simple ESB sniffer many years ago and you can have a look at it here, but be aware that this one is very limited. 

First off it doesn't integrate with any GUI and is simply printing messages to the terminal. 
Secondly it only allows you to sniff packets if you know the address, RF channel and other configuration parameters. It is not a proper sniffer that can pick up any ESB packet sent in the area.  It is also designed for an old version of the SDK (v15.3.0).
