Fall detection and gain analysis

we would like to explore the Nordic nRF52 series of low powere BTLE on coincell souerce for a waist band to dectect gait and analyse a probable fall in advance and in addition on the waist belt we would like to set 2 nRF dongles to detect the toss and turning of the person during sleep to evaluate the possibility of roll over to a fall from bed ? Kindly help us by guiding the possibiity if this works are we are wrong

Hi,

The nRF52 dongles does not have any a accelerometer or gyroscope so this is something you will have to add that. 

The Thingy52 does have accelerometers and motion sensors and so does the Thingy53. Both can be used for collecting and training some data models for fall detection.

I develop two products that can be used for the purpose,

Insoles. By integrating FSR(Force Sensing Resistor) and IMU, the insoles can detect plantar pressure and foot posture. I choose nrf chip to send data to cellphone or PC, so it can be used for gait analysis. The insoles integrate wireless power charging and antenna either, which looks similar to an ordinary insole from the appearance.

Tag. It can be mounted on the belt to detect body posture. IMU is integrated acommpany with nrf chip, wireless power charging and antenna are implemented either.
