Build configuration in studio code runs forever.

I've installed and used the tools on other systems previously, no issues..

I have installed the tools on a new system, and can not get build configuration to run. 

nRF SDK v2.5.0

windows 11 pro

I set up a project.

create a new build configuration

Add build configuration opens, and I set it up as usual.

I hit the build configuration and nothing.

I can see the nRF Connect - project spinning in the lower right corner, but there's nothing coming out on the terminal.

I let it run for a couple of hours. It just spins.

I hover over the it and a window pops up with 

I've deleted and reinstalled everything. Still have the issue.

I am stumped.

Your problem might be related to this issue. If this is the case, workaround would be to unset default terminal profile in the settings.
