Add a prior step before starting DFU in Android-DFU-Library

Hi, I'm new to Android and BLE. 

I'm working on customizing the App in Android-DFU-Library, and I'm seeking some guidance on how to add a preliminary step before starting DFU.

The desired step involves reading a value via a read characteristic and then sending another value back through a write characteristic.

If anyone has experience with such modifications or can provide insights on how to effectively implement this, I would greatly appreciate your input.

Hi, 

The team thinks implementing this inside the DFU library will require too much effort.

You could use one of our BLE libraries and connect to the device before the DFU library starts working here. Connect to a device, exchange data, and then start DFU upload using the DFU library. Just start the DFU service after writing to the characteristic.
