nRF52 radio band

nRF52 supports a range 2360-2500 MHz. It goes beyond unlicensed band. What is intended for? Does it improve sensitivity for the boundary channels?

Hi Eugene,

If your application does not have authority to use the licensed band (2360 - 2400 MHz), then it shall not be used. This band is restricted in most countries.

A little headroom in tunable frequency range never hurts. In the US 2360-2400MHz can be used for 'Medical Body Area Networks' and 2390-2400MHz is for 'Amateur Radio Service'. Maybe Nordic is setting themselves up for a chance at the medical sensor applications assuming a compatible protocol.
