can i program a nrf51822 chip with the nrf52 dk preview

I just realized that I have the nrf52 board (with nrf25832) which actually explains a lot but the end goal of my project will be using the nrf51822 (because the nrf52 chip series is not available for purchase.....right?) so i just wanted to make sure that i would be able to program the nrf51822 via the nrf52-dk?

Hi wolfman,

AFAIK, the nRF52 will start production sometime in Q1 2016. If your project will not be done before that time, I'd suggest considering the nRF52 anyway.

That said, you can use the Debug Out header on the nRF52 DK to program nRF51 based devices.

thanks Eric! i was considering the exact same. I know this isn't the question i posed but i just wanted to make sure that all the pin #'s on the PCA10036 are the same as the nrf51dk 10028? i looked at the hardware files and it does look like all the numbers are the same (P0.01 and all) but i just wanted to be sure cause im following some tutorials dealing with pwm to a small dc motor. All background i have in programming and electrical anything has been the internet. Thanks again!
