can i program a nrf51822 chip with the nrf52 dk preview

I just realized that I have the nrf52 board (with nrf25832) which actually explains a lot but the end goal of my project will be using the nrf51822 (because the nrf52 chip series is not available for purchase.....right?) so i just wanted to make sure that i would be able to program the nrf51822 via the nrf52-dk?

Hi wolfman,

AFAIK, the nRF52 will start production sometime in Q1 2016. If your project will not be done before that time, I'd suggest considering the nRF52 anyway.

That said, you can use the Debug Out header on the nRF52 DK to program nRF51 based devices.

nRF51 series devices do not have the PWM peripheral. So if you are using that continue to use the nRF52 series devices.
