I need nPM Fuel Gauge battery model file for Panasonic NCR 18650 3400mAh 3.7V

I am evaluating nPM1300EK for battery charging now. Could I get a sample battery model (JSON) file for nPM Powerup API on Windows 10?

The battery part number is Panasonic NCR 18650 3400mAh 3.7V.

  • There are no sample battery models for this kind of battery but you generate the battery profile using the fuel gauge board, see https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/nan_045/APP/nan_045/intro.html The largest default battery is 1350 mAh

Our profiling and fuel gauge solution can support a 3400 mAh battery. The nPM PowerUP gui, when clicking «profile battery», will allow a max battery capacity setting of 3000 mAh. This is okay, as our profiling procedure actually measures the the real capacity of the battery and this is used when creating the battery model.

Since we during profiling are discharging at a C/5 rate, where C is battery capacity, it will take a longer per temperature when profiling a 3400 mAh battery vs 3000 mAh, as you will be discharging at 680mA instead of 800 mA.

    So in short:
    - we support 3400mAh for fuel gauge and battery profiling
    - customer needs to use 3000mAh as battery capacity configuration in the profile battery wizard
    - It will take a longer per temperature to profile the 3400 mAh battery
