Recommended External NFC antenna for nRF52840

Dear Nordic Semiconductor Support,

I am using the nRF52840 chip in my project and require an external NFC antenna operating at 13.56 MHz. My priority is to achieve FCC certification for the final product.

Could you please recommend suitable NFC antennas from your portfolio or partner ecosystem that are specifically optimized for FCC certification along with the nRF52840 chip? Ideally, I would like an antenna that:

• • Meets all relevant FCC requirements for 13.56 MHz NFC operations with nRF52840 chip 

• • Has clear and comprehensive documentation and reference designs to facilitate the certification process.

• • Is readily available and offers good performance characteristics.

Please also provide any guidance or documentation on best practices for selecting and integrating an NFC antenna for FCC certification purposes.

The only NFC antenna we have experience with is the one that we use on our development kits. You can download the reference design for it here,

I already have this files but the issue is when i try to upload in jlcpcb for manufacturing there are some pcb specifications to enter which i don't know like stackup, PCB Thickness, Gold Thickness, Stiffener 

without this i can not test it properly 

related to this if i want to design this on my pcb then required specification or any reference is also beneficial for me

Hi,

This is an external antenna, are you thinking of embedding into the PCB or get it produced from jlcpcb? I think the production files contains everything that is necessary for both.

1. i have shared confirmation page of jlc pcb design verification page where can you confirm marked point's auto generated values are correct or if need changes please suggest.

2. in our product development we planned to make 2 types of nfc device where one has flexible antenna and other have on board antenna which is fr4 material, for that i need to change some parameters like board stackup and impedance which i haven't, for that if you guide me how to do that then it is very helpful for me and my team.
