nRF52840 with NFC Reader X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 / ST25R3916B Support

Hello everyone,

in our Project we want to use the nRF52840 DK with the X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 (ST25R3916B) extension board as an NFC Reader.

In the SDK 2.5.2 are samples for using the X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1 (ST25R3911B) as an NFC Reader.

The problem is that the X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1 is not available at ST anymore and even in the datasheet it is recommended to use the X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 for new applications.

Are there any plans that there will be a library which supports the usage of the X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 with an nRF52840 ?

Hi,

You can contact sales to get more direct info, but currently I cant say we have any ongoing plans to add the latest X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 (ST25R3916B), but I will report internally.

So you could probably do the porting of the old to the new, or check in the Zpehyr community if someone else is working on this, and even create a pull request to add support.
